It is the mission of the Recorder’s Office to ensure the preservation and integrity of all official city records, maintain an effective records management system, and to provide professional, courteous, responsive customer service to all citizens in a timely manner.
Recorder’s Office responsibilities
The Recorder’s office is responsible for recording and keeping documents relative to the functions of the city. In addition to maintaining ordinances, resolutions, and agreements, the recorder prepares agenda packets, attends city council meetings, and prepares minutes of the city council meetings. The recorder serves as the election officer and is responsible for coordinating and supervising municipal elections. The recorder is the city’s records officer and handles records request under GRAMA.
