Operations

American Fork Fire & Rescue is a career department of over 100 members. We serve a community of 30,000 that can increase to near 100,000 during the day. We serve a six-square-mile area with the freeway, railroad, Frontrunner, high density housing, lake shore and high-occupancy facilities in American Fork; and we serve a 2.7 square-mile area with a wildland interface in Cedar Hills.

We provide fire and medical protection for the Cities of American Fork and Cedar Hills, and we have agreements to help neighboring cities as needed. We are staffed with 24/7/365, personnel that are fire and EMS trained.

We provide the highest level of pre-hospital care (ALS/Paramedic), and our fire attack training is progressive, fast and effective. We comply with all HIPPA and privacy laws. (See our privacy policy here.)

We staff fire apparatus and ALS ambulances with the ability to call back off-duty personnel to mitigate multiple incidents. American Fork Station 51 is the busiest station in Utah County, responding to nearly 4,000 calls a year.

The dedicated men and women of American Fork Fire & Rescue, along with nearby departments, are trained in every aspect of emergent response including:

  • Fire
  • EMS
  • Hazmat
  • High and low angle rope rescue
  • Trench and confined space rescue
  • Ice and swift water rescue
  • Wild land and Urban Interface fires
