There are multiple providers that will foot the majority of the cost (ie XMission). Which will help bring the cities internet speeds up to competitive. Our best Fiber option currently Maxes out at a speed of 30Mb/s (3.7MB/s) for $69. XMission (and similar, ie Google Fiber) offer full 1000Mb for $64. Please help us have a better choice for this "Utility". That is easily becoming the center post for most of our lives.

I would like to see AF put in a dog park. To clarify Dog parks are more for the owners than for the dogs. They cater to all ages of people and are usable year round. It's a great way to go meet other like minded neighbors and exert the energy of our dogs which makes for less barking and better neighbors (a tired dog is a good dog) dog owners can play with our dogs off leash without offending non-dog owners. I've talked to people without dogs who love the idea! Socialized dogs have more manners and less aggression in general. There does have to be rules about unpredictable dogs being muzzled and cleaning up after your pet. Most owners are very responsible.
They have become extremely popular in other cities. AF would be the first in Utah county to add one so it could bring revenue to the city.
I personally think the north end of Art Dye would be a great place to add one. It's far enough away from homes. Plus with more traffic through there it keeps vandalism down.

In addition to a splash pad, the park could feature fire pits, play areas, pavilions, an ice rink? What ideas to you have?

There needs to be a public restroom at this park. It's inconvenient to go in the library.

To create a sense of entry into the downtown core, the City is proposed iconic clock towers. What do you think?

Rather than a knee-jerk, defensive reaction to the findings of the UTA, I would like for the Council to seriously look at how our taxes are being spent. Instead of spending six to nine million on a park, how about the roads. Instead of turning a great open area into a cemetery addition and tearing up a street that was actually in pretty good shape just to bury more people, use that money on roads that are terrible. Instead of spending all that money on 600 N., east of First East, (to the benefit of the developer), spend it on main-traveled roads. Or perhaps develop a city program to fix up/paint/whatever's needed, some of the homes in the multiple areas of blight. Or, (a novel and unrealistic idea, I know), lower taxes and let us keep it. It is, after all, our money.

Could we get a simple bike lane or an unbroken stretch of sidewalk along 200 S (or 7750 N) from the freeway underpass to the Frontrunner station? I see too many bikers and pedestrians forced into traffic on the busy road (especially around rush hours) due to lack of shoulder or unbroken stretch of sidewalk. Let's fix this before someone gets run over and killed.

Utah County needs a second ice sheet. PLEASE build one!!! Utah County High Schools need real hockey teams! My husband keeps wanting me to move down to Utah County but that is a BIG NO unless an ice sheet goes in. Priorities:)

Now that Art Dye is finally becoming what it should have years ago... a splash pad makes more sense at Art Dye. Along with picnic tables and pavilions. Please consider.

first we have high taxes lets lower them . second we have enough open space/ parks no more are needed. third instead of building more roads to help the developers make them pay for them . families need free things to do not everything needs to be expensive . we don't need 8 ft wide sidewalks 3-4 ft are fine spend less on the parks for improvements and more for maintaining the ones we have . quit dumping stuff at art dye and finish the last few ball fields .art dye looks like hell with all the stuff dumped there . also why the high cost at the ice rink 2 years ago it is cheaper to go elsewhere and the size was way too small .
