How do I get a copy of my traffic accident report?

Accident reports can be obtained through our office during normal business hours (Monday - Thursday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm). You must be the subject of the accident report or the legal parent or guardian of a minor involved. If an accident is being investigated, generally accident reports will not be released until the case has been approved by a supervisor and closed. This can take a few business days up to several months depending on the case. Requests must be received in writing and proper identification is required. You may fill out a request at the police department front desk, or email a request to records@americanfork.gov. Email requests must include a copy of your driver’s license, your name, date of birth and detailed information about what you are requesting.
